What to confirm with the supplier

The trailer a supplier actually offers is what decides whether it suits your job. What this page says is general, not the specification of any trailer, so check the offered unit against the list below before you choose.

• Deck or box dimensions, measured against what you plan to load.
• Payload, and whether it suits the heaviest load you expect to carry.
• How things go on and off (ramps, doors, a gate or a tilting deck), and whether that suits your equipment.
• The hitch and coupler size, and whether the vehicle that will move it is rated to tow it loaded.
• The brake and lighting connections, and whether they match that vehicle.
• The ramp type and length, and whether your machine can climb them safely.
• The tie-down points, and how many chains or straps the load needs.
